Conservando Huellas: Lowland Paca Conservation
Get to know these unique animals and their history. The Lowland Paca has the most sought after meats in the Costa Rican industry. It can only be bought and sold in the black market, therefore quickly becoming an endangered species.
The large rodent is breed and raised at Conserving Footprints with the intention to conserve, reproduce, and reinsert them back into the wild. At the end of the tour, have a chance to set one of these little guys free (if he hasn't yet escaped himself)!
