Bio-cultural Route: Heart of Osa · VisitaRanchoQuemado

The Biocultural Route is one of the results of the project: “Strategies for forest conservation and strengthening of green enterprises in the community of Rancho Quemado, in the buffer zone of Corcovado National Park”, executed by Aves de Osa and financed by the I Debt for Nature Swap USA - C.R.

One of the objectives is to link the tourist services offered in the community of Rancho Quemado and make them attractive and visible as an important destination in the Osa Peninsula.

The Biocultural route is defined as a set of experiences that show the parallel evolution of biological diversity and cultural diversity, through which generations have forged ecological knowledge and sustainable local practices within its environment.

The route contains observation sites and interpretation of the abundant wildlife in the area, as well as presenting the local traditions of the community, which are developed in harmony with the environment.
