Our HistoryAn entrepreneurial family, in 2005 ithey began with small daughters and many desires for personal and communal improvement, participating in the local organization. They had the experience of working a season in a touristic business in Drake Bay and learned about trade and customer service, which led them to provide a cafeteria service and typical meals in the corridor of their house in Rancho Quemado, which they called Los Trogones. For a time they occupied themselves with this work and managed to build some cabins to build the business, and in 2010 thanks to the support of the UCR, Corcovado Foundation and Neotropica Foundation were trained more in the subject of tourism and business plans. They transformed their commercial name to Rancho Verde of Osa, wanting to transmit its meaning as a declaration in representation of hope and prosperity in a place where there were shortages, but they believed that by doing small actions and with the help of God it would be possible to see positive changes in the future, and with time it developed. The start was difficult, without telephone or internet communication, so the first challenge was the community organization because there were not many people interested in working together in the tourism activity at the beginning. With perseverance, good communication and maturity, the work team was growing through the ADIRQ and more ventures were born to complement the communal chain, which also opened doors for the improvement of local infrastructure. For the next few years improvements are planned in the business facilities and continue with the well-being of the girls who are growing and studying and serve as motivation to extend this family dream. If you are looking for an authentic experience in rural tourism, we recommend Rancho Verde de Osa. |
