Typical Heart Dance Workshop of Osa

Thanks to the motivation of Leda Villeda, director of the Rancho Quemado school, a typical children's dance group is launched for school presentations at national holidays, and as time goes by, they continue rehearsing to perform presentations in adonorem community activities.
At the beginning of the tourist visitation of the community, it is thought to organize communal reception acts for the agencies and groups that arrived to demonstrate the local affection and gratitude, so it is proposed the participation of these children of the school, who with great enthusiasm performed their dances sometimes under the sun and sometimes even in the rain since at that time there was no proper room for this. Years later, Rosa Moreno, a neighbor of the community and passionate about typical folklore, takes on the training of dance rehearsals, and in conversations with parents and more people in the community, they organize a mixed group of adults with children, named "Corazón de Osa" The idea was to present it as a rural tourism enterprise in the category of cultural activity to the Association of integral development of Rancho Quemado, who are very pleased with the idea and included in the services offered to visitors not only to be hired in presentations but also to give typical dance classes and have fun with the members of the group. The economic income is distributed a percentage among the participants and funds are collected for the purchase of costumes, payment of transfers to other communities and other needs of the group.
We offer workshops and presentations on special occasions for more information contact us at:
